A4 polo print 'Hooking'

£20.00

Hooking is one of the two basic defensive plays allowed by the rules in Polo.

While a player is taking a shot at the ball, his opponent can block the swing by using his mallet to hook the mallet of the other player. How annoying!

In my illustration you can see that the hook is being used in the approved manner. A player may hook only if is he is on the side where the swing is being made or directly in front or behind an opponent.

Unsafe hooking is a foul that will result in a penalty shot being awarded. For example, it is a foul for a player to reach over an opponent's mount in an attempt to hook.

I loved the stretch and curved movement and the way only one hoof out of eight is actually on the ground!

My equestrian brush, pen and ink drawings were developed from illustrations that I did for the Royal Windsor Horse show catalogue and website in 2009 and 2010. I was delighted to find a photograph with the Queen and her equerry who was holding my catalogue!

Limited edition giclee prints are digital prints with 200 prints of the same painting in each edition. Each A4 (30 x 21 cm or 11.7 x 8.3 inches) print is signed and numbered by the artist and is cellophane wrapped for protection of the printed surface.

The above photos show 6 of my most popular polo prints, including the 4 basic polo shots, 'Riding off' and 'Hooking', mounted and displayed in black frames to give an idea of what your prints might look like.

This print will fit a mount with a finished size of 28x28cm (11x11in) and with an aperture of 17x17cm (7x7in) approximately.

Please not that mounts and frames are not included in the price.
